About Your Instructor
Jillian Pransky, Yoga Instructor
Jillian Pransky, author of Deep Listening, is an international presenter, certified yoga therapist and meditation teacher. She is the creator of Yoga Journal’s Restorative Yoga 101, director of Restorative Therapeutic Teacher Training for YogaWorks, and a featured yoga expert for Prevention magazine. Jillian teaches throughout the country at prominent wellness centers such as Kripalu, Omega, and 1440 Multiversity.
Her Calm Body, Clear Mind DVD and Relaxmore CD have garnered excellent reviews from Dr. Mehmet Oz, Yoga Journal, and others. A student of Pema Chödrön’s work since 1998, Jillian Pranksy infuses her yoga classes with mindfulness practices, compassion, and ease. The most frequent question my students ask is, “How can I learn to bring the calm I get on my mat back into my life? I am not able to actually go away for a retreat, but I really would like to deepen my practice and bring more calm into my daily life.”
Truth be told, many students in my weekly class also share that the balance they may create in their morning practice can be gone shortly after they step off their mat and turn on their smart phone. They are longing to feel the effect of their yoga in more areas of their life – but don’t have time to ‘practice’ more each week.
So again, the question is, “How can we retain and even deepen the benefits of a yoga practice in the busyness and challenges of ‘real’ life?”
This is the inspiration behind my new online program Relax More In Your Daily Life. Relax More is based on the cutting-edge science of the relaxation response. I will share practical tools on how to listen to what your habitual behavioral patterns, your muscular tension, and your scattered thoughts are telling you. I will also share how to productively deal with those findings, and make room for new, more nourishing behaviors. You will experience scientifically validated Deep Listening practices to help you feel relaxed inside your body, mind and your life…day after day, not just on retreat.
To help you build a personal practice, you will continue to have access to each weekly lesson and all our videos as we progress throughout the entire program. And they are yours to return to again and again, all year long!

What to Expect
This unique program provides an online community experience directly led by Jillian and her assistants. In between weekly conference calls led by Jillian, you will be presented with online course materials and exercises that you can engage at your own pace any time day or night.
Additionally, via online forums and direct messaging, you and your classmates can ask questions of Jillian, share your experiences with each other, and support each other on your deep listening journey.
Each week for five weeks, a new lesson is introduced and you have a chance to connect with Jillian and other classmates. You will also have access to all the course material for a full year following the end of the course.

SCHEDULE & TIME COMMITMENT
The beauty of an online course is that you don’t have to travel and you can work at your own pace, however here’s what we recommend…
Yoga Practice
Each week a yoga practice video will be between 8-30 minutes. We recommend practicing twice per week.
Guided Meditation
Weekly videos range from 5-15 minutes. Expect to set aside a few minutes each day to practice your breath work.
Conscious Relaxation
Videos range between 5-20 minutes and we recommend practicing twice per week.
OFF THE MAT Practices Include:
- Mindful Walking instruction (Recommended practice 5-20 minutes. 1-3 x per week)
- Quick Reset techniques (Recommended practice 3 breaths. Several times a day.)
- Journaling and Reflection questions (1 x per week)

Can I still participate if I'm busy the first week of the course?
Yes, this online course has been created for busy folks like you in mind. If you miss the first live video conference call it will be recorded so you can listen to it at your earliest convenience. You can then add your questions and comments to the forum afterword.
As each module opens, it is available thereafter for the duration of the course so you can access the content as often as you like to catch up.
How does online learning work?
We open a module each week with suggested reading as well as videos to round out your understanding of the content. As each module opens it is available 24/7 for the duration of the course so you can access the content as often as you like.
You will discuss the module content with faculty and classmates in the forum as well as connecting on the live video conference calls to share insights and feedback about how the practice is working for you.

Do I need to practice the same time every day?
We recommend planning out time on your calendar, scheduling the time that works best for you, so you can focus on your studies and connect with other participants in the forum and live community chat. That being said, this is a self-led learning experience to work around your lifestyle.
What if I can't attend some of the live conference calls?
The live conference calls will be recorded for your convenience, so you can stream them or download the calls to your local device. You’ll be able to listen to discussions and take notes at a time that works for you.
